Laugh... It's the best medicine :-)
I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday!!! The husband took me backwoods camping in Colorado! It was absolutely breath-taking... and I mean it literally and figuratively. The high elevations had us gasping for air, just as the beautiful mountainscapes did. Amazing...

Traveling through thick snow and ice without chains or snow tires was extremely stressful for me. Luckily I wasn't driving! But, there's nothing like a good laugh to boost your mood! Luckily, I have a husband that constantly makes me laugh and three amazing pets that can almost always put a smile on my face. When I'm not laughing it up with my "gang", I'm watching comedy sitcoms and movies! My latest find is "The Ugly Truth"... I'm way behind in watching this movie as far as the release date, but it's never too late! I loved the movie. I think it's definitely something both women and men can relate to, it's sure to have you laughing.

Benefits of Laughter

Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.

Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

Physical Health Benefits:
Boosts immunity, Lowers stress hormones, Decreases pain, Relaxes your muscles, Prevents heart disease

Mental Health Benefits: Adds joy and zest to life, Eases anxiety and fear, Relieves stress, Improves mood, Enhances resilience

Social Benefits:Strengthens relationships, Attracts others to us, Enhances teamwork, Helps defuse conflict, Promotes group bonding
