Soothing Music
One of the best ways I find to relax any time is by surrounding myself with peaceful music.
I love listening to
http://www.di.fm/. It's super easy to stream at work and there's an option that uses really low bandwidth, opens right in windows media player. I usually opt for Chillout- Dreams while sipping a hot cup of green tea. It's heaven. Maybe a nice piece of chocolate and you have yourself a sanctuary, right at your desk!!! It puts you in such a relaxed state... it's a great attitude adjustment!
Why music is great for our bodies...
1. It stimulates our brainwaves! Upbeat music encourages concentration and alertness, whereas mellow beats encourage calmness. The effects can last beyond your listening time because it actually changes your brainwaves.
2. Reduces stress. When your brainwaves are altered, so are other bodily functions. Calming your entire self down helps to reduce breathing and heart rates and promotes relaxation and health. It helps to lower blood pressure, boost immunity and eases muscle tension. How awesome is that?!
3. Increases state of mind. Makes you more optimistic and positive. Also great for reducing stress and improving your mood!
